“I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.” (John 14: 18)

We all have times when we feel without comfort. Perhaps, right now, peace is eluding you, rest seems out of reach.

Let’s accept this promise. Let’s be willing to drop our doubts and fears and to let the Christ come into our hearts and minds, into our very being. For while Jesus departed the human scene many centuries ago, the great Truth-teller promised that the Comforter would come to us—to you.

For this Truth is the ever-presence of God, of divine Love, always right where we are, to be felt and known. Jesus proved this. Our oneness with God means the very quality and action of perfect Love is with us always. We can’t be separated from this glorious goodness, and all this means.

You are worthy of comfort, and you are ready for it. And our merciful, tender, powerful Father-Mother God is ready to show us this comfort, to release us from anguish and pain, and let us rest in the awareness that we are not alone, that we are spiritual, that we are fully and unceasingly loved.

The Christ is the awareness of God ever revealing itself. This Christ, our Comforter, is not a person or a material remedy or a certain place or situation. It is the grace of God embracing us in reality, awakening us from any nightmarish beliefs to feel the arms of living, healing Love.
