“Remember to stay alert and hold firmly to all that you believe. Be mighty and full of courage.” (I Corinthians 16:13, the Passion Translation)

Don’t let the world lull you to sleep. Don’t be fooled into letting go of what you believe is true and right because you see so much to the contrary. Don’t allow yourself to feel things are too big for you to handle or that you are a victim of fate or some inevitable force of time and tide.

Stay alert and stay loyal to what you know. God’s Truth of Life does not give up so easily. It is sustained reality, even if it seems hidden in a sense of darkness or confusion or fear. We have a right to feel courageous. We have God’s own power with us, to lean on and trust. It is not human bravery. It is a release to the Almighty.

We can discern when we are being led astray. We can open our eyes to the deception which would cause us to believe that evil wins or that selfishness is necessary. We can stop thinking that we are small and weak, and that a majority of opinions is greater than the omnipotence of divine Truth.

Hold firmly to your convictions and keep listening for God’s guidance as you march forth, fearless in light, motivated by love.
