“When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.” (Isaiah 43: 2, New Living Translation)

Trials will likely come. There will be times when we feel overwhelmed by circumstances, by the stress of time, by our own fears and doubts. We may not always be treated fairly by others or seen for our true worth. There may be some deep waters to navigate, some heated hours to get through.

But these experiences can’t destroy us. God is with us. We are protected by God’s strength and embraced by His understanding, His Love. We are being guided by His wisdom and uplifted by His inspiration. We are not alone in these difficult times. We are in the middle of a saving.

These occasions require humility. They may force us to release a sense of personal control, of ego and its claim to pride or to victimization, and to simply allow God to help us. God’s infinite power and His pure Love is our rescue. God sees beyond the challenges, and He sees us as we truly are—free, whole, progressive, vitally alive to life.

God is with you. You will emerge safely. And even in those waves, you can gain some cleansing, some light, a new power discovered by letting God be God.
