“Every gift God freely gives us is good and perfect, streaming down from the Father of lights, who shines from the heavens with no hidden shadow or darkness and is never subject to change.” (James 1:17, the Passion Translation)

Our gifts from God are given to us freely and without any hidden disclaimers. The blessings and His special qualities expressed toward us and through us, have no qualifications on them for use, nor do they expire.

God’s gifts, every one of them, are good and perfect and they come directly from God, the Father of lights. They stream down constantly, effortlessly, like the sun’s rays upon a humble earth. God’s changeless nature is our confidence. God’s infinite Love and shadowless Being is our reliance, the reason we can trust that Life’s bestowals to us are permanent, vital, and with no strings attached.

We can accept our gifts and know their Source. We can recognize our worthiness to receive these blessings, and to utilize God’s qualities freely in our unique and powerful way. These gifts are heavenly, so as we express them, we are giving our world a glimpse of the divine. And when we do this, we can’t help but feel harmony and contentment as well.
