Daily Inspiration, July 26th

“That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;…And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.” (I John 1: 1, 4)

The revelation of God’s Truth in our lives is a precious thing. We have been listening and so we are hearing that Word of life that is the very holy message that the disciples heard and that Jesus expressed. His proof of the unreality of material life and the everlasting nature of Spirit as Life is ours to hold and behold.

We, too, have received that healing truth of being and touched it, grasped it and felt it touch our own hearts and relieve our bodies. And we, with the disciples, know that it was true from the beginning and that we are still listening. The simple Principle, Truth, God, out of which all life proceeds, continues to remain firm and fixed, provable, reliable and completely loving. We have Jesus’s example, as well as the apostles’ faith and continued proofs as our own starting point.

That which the apostles heard and saw they could not contain or hoard. And their sharing was not in order that we struggle and be uncomfortable, toil and worry over it all. They shared with us what they knew (and we listened) so that our “joy may be full.” They echoed Jesus’ words and wishes in this. It is for our joy that we have witnessed the Christ, the practical Truth that walks the earth today through our own demonstrations, in our own loving and good lives, and in our grateful and open hearts.
