Daily inspiration, October 26th

“The Lord knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever. They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.” (Psalms 37: 18-19)

God knows our days, our permanency, our preservation. He consciously sustains our uprightness—keeps us right, perfect, enduring, uplifted, and free. For, we are His beloved, the very ideas in His perfect Mind. We are the thoughts that give Him joy, that express His intention, that glorify Him in every place.

He maintains our inheritance, that heritage that belongs to the sons and daughters of God. It does not disappear in times that seem to challenge us humanly. It is not wrested away from us because of some material circumstance or human decision or turn of events or personal ignorance or misunderstanding. Our days are known of God, and they are perpetual.

Even if we seem to be agonizing in a time of uncertainty, fear, doubt, shame, confusion, He is ever with us, holding us up, asserting our true spotless and magnificent and necessary selfhood. We are always the apple of His eye, the child of His heart, the one whom He will always love and keep safe. He is always pleased.

And when the world about us would fail to feed us, inspire us, supply us, He is ever-present presentness. He is right here and His Love satisfies. It knows no limits, has no conditions, and is undisturbed by material suggestions of poverty of living or of thinking. He simply is all there is to everything, and He is always expressing His flawless Life through His artistry—you and me!
